The cam belt (or timing belt) is a very important component that regulates the operation of your car engine. If it breaks, it can cause catastrophic damage to the engine.

Manufacturers recommend belt change on a combination of age and mileage. We will advise you on your particular vehicle. These days, the pulleys that the belt runs around can often be made of plastic. These pulleys are just as likely to fail as the belt. For this reason, we always fit a cam belt and pulley kit. Some belts also drive the water pump. On high mileage cars we would recommend change the pump at the same time or if we see any sign of leakage we would advise you.
